only at carnegie mellon
yahoo! news: ‘Carnegie Mellon University is testing a Web-based system that sends e-mail to students when their laundry is done and allows them to log on to an Internet site to check the status of machines.’
I sure wish they had this in my days of school. I always found it so hard to know that if i put enough money in the machine for it to run for an hour, that it would be done in an hour.
IN THE OLD DAYS, WE JUST STAYED WITH THE LAUNDRY UNTIL IT WAS DONE. WE WOULD SOCIALIZE OR DO HOMEWORK, BECAUSE IT WOULD USUALLY TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR.
THE LAUNDRAMAT, THE LIBRARY AND CHURCH WAS USUALLY THE SOCIAL EVENTS OF THE WEEK.
LOL!
Ours had timers to tell you had long they were going to take. Then again the dryers don’t work great in the dorms. They just make them warm and wet as opposed to cold and wet.
i just cant wait till i get married and dont have to do laundry anymore.
Yeah Dad never does laundry, then again mom never lets me do laundry because I have to seperate the colors.
Dad has been known to do some laundry.
Aaron has not been know to do laundry at home, but up at school he does it almost every saturday.
