I read in my school newspaper yesterday that Bush was in favor of the draft and Kerry was not to fight the war on terror – I mean the war in Iraq – I mean… I am confused, is it possible to fight the war on terror without actually going after the terrorists? It also said that you could not get out of being drafted for reasons such as being enrolled in school. Is this something I should be deathly afraid of? I have no desire at all to go to war.

Implementing the draft again would be political suicide for those in support of it. Perhaps this is why Bush is holding off on the draft until what he hopes will be his second term. Big debate tonight, let’s hope Kerry lays the smackdown on Mr. Bush. Did you hear that the Crawford, Texas newspaper (Bush’s adopted hometown) has announced their support of Kerry?
