Rachel and I talk about this everyday. We only use cellphones – no land line home phone – so the pollsters have not called us to see who we are voting for. Even if they had called us, we would not have counted as a likely voter – until yesterday. I read in the USA Today the questions that are asked to determine if you were a likely voter and thus what percentage your vote counted. I only got 5 points because I didn’t know where I was supposed to vote (it came in the mail yesterday, so now I know) and because I hadn’t voted in my current precinct before.

I also read in the USA Today article that first time voters favored Kerry 60/40. I still don’t understand how anyone can vote for Bush – mostly because any time I ask someone why they are, they can’t tell me – but I also don’t think he cares about the American public. I am very excited in doing my part to change this country on November 2. Right now, Missouri is a red state, but I am confident that we will come to our senses and elect a man that knows how to lead.

I’m crossing my fingers and hoping you’re right. (By the way, I’ve already cast my vote, so I played my part.)

I hope my vote is going to count. I also hope that when Kerry gets into office the unemployment rate will go down. We all need jobs.

well, it’s not just jobs we need, we need more money. I read yesterday that new jobs now pay $16,000 less than the jobs they replaced. To clarify that, when a job was lost and then someone was hired to fill it, they were paid considerably less to do the same job.
