
I went out guitar shopping with my dad this afternoon and we decided on the Taylor 100e. I don’t currently play guitar, but with my upcoming graduation, I will have more time to learn how. Can’t wait until it gets here. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Are you going to take lessons or are you going to teach yourself from books?
A little bit of both, I think. Should I get lessons first to get a basic grasp or should I learn the basic notes from a book and then take lessons? Any suggestions?
I think you should start now on your own. If you can’t get into a guitar class for another month, would you really let the guitar sit idle in the corner? Of course not! And if you are going to take classes, it will be good for you to walk into class already familiar with the heft and shape of your guitar. It will already be comfortable in your hands. Also, it looks like a firestorm over on the Heidi Chronicles. Ouch!
