Not bad. I took guitar lessons in highschool and we started with reading basic sheet music. Same thing as piano without the bass cleff. But there’s a big difference between learning from a school/band instructor or using beginner books compared with taking lessons from a professional guitar teacher. Rock guitar is based heavily around chords and scales. You can get some of that from books but you’ll get farther faster if you can get lessons from someone who plays rock/blues guitar himself on a serious level.
