Enabling Taps

I didn’t realize until tonight that the powerbook trackpad could be tapped to simulate a mouse click and doubleclick. I have used the trackpad-tap feature on PCs before and it came in quite handy, so tonight I spent some time searching the System Preferences and found the trackpad-tap feature.

Under ‘Keyboard & Mouse’ check the ‘Clicking’ box to enable single and double clicks by tapping (or double-tapping) the trackpad.

Well, this works on an iBook too. Not sure if I’ll like it, but I’ll give it a try.

I can’t believe you actually like a feature found on a pc! WHEW! What type of computer do you use at work?

Okay, I removed this feature after a couple of days. I was getting my cursor jumping all over the screen if I moved my thumb over the pad. And when I was typing and it did that, whole lines of text were being deleted.
