Has anyone else been having trouble with Gmail? Today Rachel got two emails delivered to her gmail account for a different Rachel Johnson. My Rachel’s email is racheljohnson@gmail… and the email she received was for rachel[something else]@gmail… Both emails were personal emails to the other Rachel, not ones where my Rachel’s email address could have been buried in a BCC or something. They were also from services my Rachel hasn’t ever used, which leads me to believe that the problem lies with Google.
I haven’t had any trouble, but no one ever sends me email anyway.
Yea, I just read about this last week, but can’t find a site with more info. Apparently G misconfigured the signup form with the actual mailserver, so if someone registered eightfivethree@gmail.com first, then they would get mail sent to eight.five.three@gmail.com, even if it was a completely seperate account.
Somewhere on the Gmail help page there was a snippet about it but I can’t find it for the life of me.
I don’t have Gmail but if I did I’m sure I’d have trouble with it as I do with Email.

It is very complicated and I am not going to explain the whole situation, but Travis wrote to Google and I wrote to the other Rachel to explain the problem, but neither parties seemed too concerned.
