Basketball City
I am in New York for a quick trip and got to play with the company basketball team in their Wednesday night league at BasketBall City.
First, BasketBall City is awesome. It’s this huge domed building that sits out over the water at the Chelsea Piers. Tons of basketball. We played on the top level and there were five other games going on at the same time all in a row. The refs let you play, they don’t call a lot of fouls and the scorekeeper tracks individual points and team rebounds (we out-rebounded the other team 52-20).
Fresh off our two game winning streak in Eugene, Pat, Dave and I accounted for nearly half the team’s points and outscored our opponent 32-25. That’s just Pat, Dave and I. The final score was 69-25.
I see that BasketBall City is in a few other cities, hopefully they will come to Eugene soon.
I would like to know the scoring breakdown of Dave, Travis, Pat, just so I can know I would have outscored one of you!
i miss you
We miss you, too. It is great that you got to play with the company team. Times are changing. It used to be a round of golf.
B-ball city was so much fun. It was fun to blow a team out after having so many close games in our Eugene League. Also, dunking is legal there, but none of us got the chance to try. I was hoping Travis would bring one down, but maybe next time.
woah, dave. i threw one down (after the game).
and cam – dave had 9, pat 11, and me 12 (I only remember scoring 10, though)
boomshakalaka.
