I picked up the new Jeff Tweedy DVD, Sunken Treasure Live Jeff Tweedy in the Pacific Northwest. I’m watching it right now and so far it is fantastic. The DVD follows Jeff through five stops out here in the northwest. Rachel and I were at the Eugene show and it was fun to see him play a few of those songs again.
I am pretty big Wilco fan, but think I like Jeff solo even more. It doesn’t get much better than him alone on stage with an acoustic guitar. He also tends to play a different set of songs, like the ones from his Uncle Tupelo days, when he is alone.
On a side note, I picked this DVD up after work at a local record store that I thought carried everything. Apparently they don’t. No The White Buffalo! In a moment of weakness I didn’t buy his CD last night at the show, now I am paying the price. At least there’s archive.org (more here).
I think you can buy it at his website.
