I was just checking out the upcoming music scene in Eugene and saw that Tech N9ne is going to be at the WOW Hall on May 23. I am not really a fan of Tech, but I met him when I lived in KC. He recorded at the studio in the first floor of the office [ READ MORE ]
I made it back from Orlando Friday. I had a really good week at the PHP conference. I think I learned quite a bit. I am not going to talk about tech here anymore, so no details… On Saturday Rachel and I went to her friend’s house. I had the greatest time. Early in the evening [ READ MORE ]
Counting Crows announced their 2006 summer tour recently and they are hitting Portland pretty early on. It’s a Wednesday night, we’ll see if we decide to go. Just for fun I wanted to see if they were going to be in KC the week we are there this summer and no such luck. They play a [ READ MORE ]
Ryan Adams will be in Portland at the end of the month and I can’t be there. I have yet to see Ryan live in concert. He was at KU a little over a year ago and I couldn’t make it because of class. It’s too bad he skips right over Eugene. He goes from Portland [ READ MORE ]

I don’t know any of the history of Down in the Willow Garden, but I really like the song. [ READ MORE ]
Rachel and I went to see Jeff Tweedy last night at the McDonald Theatre in downtown Eugene. He played a good range of songs and overall the show was really fun. The crowd was a little bit too talkative for my likes, but that’s just a detail. [ READ MORE ]
Last night’s SNL was a pre-Christmas repeat. And in hopes of it being the one where Lazy Sunday aired, we watched it. Unfortunately, it was the digital short where Samburg is eats a head of lettuce. Funny, but no Lazy Sunday. Anyways, the musical guest was James Blunt. We heard him when the show first aired, [ READ MORE ]
I am not usually excited for the soundtrack to a children’s movie to come out, but the upcoming Curious George movie has a great soundtrack. All the songs are by Jack Johnson. [ READ MORE ]
Rachel and I were in a Pier 1 a few weeks ago and I heard a Jack Johnson Christmas song. I asked one of the workers if they song the song or knew anything about it and she didn’t. So… does anyone have the song or know where I can get it. I can’t remember [ READ MORE ]
