I’m really interested to see what you think of the f/1.8. I considered that lens, but ended up getting the more expensive f/1.4. I still need a good mid-range, everyday lens, but the one that I want is like $1200. I have champagne tastes.

I bought Garret a Canon 50 f/1.8 for use on his 30D. He loves it–cheap and light and you do get pretty good DOF. Only thing to keep in mind is that on a cropped sensor body, it becomes an 80mm.

I think my favorite part was the photo of the Sofa Kings holding up the championship trophy. That was Sofa King awesome!
